Spring and the City

CityCenterDC becomes the unofficial headquarters of spring with its annual lineup of music, art and seasonal flavors

Spring at CityCenterDC is more than a season—it’s an experience. The downtown destination comes to life with a vibrant mix of live music, immersive art, and seasonal flavors, making it the perfect place to celebrate the return of warmer days.

The annual Palmer Alley art installation sets the tone with delicate pink paper blooms and lanterns suspended overhead, transforming the space into a stunning tribute to spring’s renewal. Weekends become even more dynamic as the sounds of live jazz and electric violin fill the Plaza, with performances by saxophonist DeJay Sax and violinist Stephanie Mathias every Saturday through April 12, from 2-6 p.m.

Culinary creativity is in full bloom, as CityCenterDC’s restaurants introduce seasonal menus inspired by the flavors of spring. Fig & Olive debuts a black sea bass à la plancha with a vibrant spring vegetable fricassee, while Seven Reasons offers cherry blossom-inspired cocktails like the Whisper Blossom, a citrus-forward gin creation, and the smoky, floral Falling Petals mezcal cocktail. At Conrad Washington, DC, a striking parasol installation by architect and artist My Ly pays homage to the beauty of cherry blossoms and the connection between Japan and the U.S.

With each element thoughtfully curated, CityCenterDC transforms into a sensory celebration of spring—inviting visitors to experience the season through art, music, and flavor.
